Depression

Everybody can feel down or sad sometimes but this not always imply you suffer from a depressive disorder. When these feelings are present daily for a longer period of time a depression may be present. Depression is more common then most people think.

People who suffer from depression often feel drained and tend to become more passive. They find it hard to experience joy and feel down. Common symptoms are also difficulty with sleeping, feeling exhausted, loss of concentration, libido and appetite. But also feelings of worthlessness or guilt can be experienced frequently They often lose interest in work, hobby’s and social contacts. In more severe depressions, you might experience recurrent thoughts about death.
