ADHD

Symptoms of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivitiy Disorder are; having a short attention span and being easily distracted, appearing forgetful or losing things, being unable to stick at tasks that are tedious or time-consuming, constantly changing activity or task or having difficulty organizing tasks. Symptoms of hyperactivity include; being unable to sit still, being impatient, constantly fidgeting, excessive physical movement, excessive talking and being impulsive.

Treatment
Treatment for ADHD is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). In CBT dysfunctional thought patterns are identified and replaced with more realistic or helpfull thoughts. The treatment will also focus on organizational skills and improvement of self-esteem. For treatment with medication you can consult your GP or a psychiatrist
